She emerged victorious from among the top five finalists Miss Georgia Kelsey Hollis, and Miss West Virginia Elizabeth.

Grace Stankey stuns during the red-carpet portion and plays a jaw-dropping violin solo. The Wausau, Wisconsin native is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. According to her bio on the official Miss Wisconsin page, the brainy beauty has already worked in world-class research laboratories and a nuclear fuel cooperative.
His bio states that his work and education helped him understand the global energy crisis. The supply of fossil fuels is shrinking, causing prices to rise. Then Grace Stankey realized that renewable energy and zero-carbon sources were the future, and she started her own social impact initiative called Clean Energy, Clean Future.
She certainly hopes to help the country transition to zero-carbon energy, with an emphasis on nuclear power. At the heart of their objective is averting the climate crisis. With such a heavy-handed agenda, how could the judges not just hand her the crown?
According to The Northwestern, she boosted her confidence by learning to play the violin. She began playing when she was eight, developing her love of music through private lessons – although she has admitted to progressing through performance.
As she got older, she knew that the only way to overcome anxiety was through more opportunities on stage – enter the Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen pageant. She went on to become Miss Wausau Outstanding Teen in 2016, Miss Harbor Cities Outstanding Teen in 2017, and finally Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen in 2017. Miss Madison (2020/2021), Miss Bjergland (2022), and of course, Miss Wisconsin 2022. Before capturing the final crown, she was awarded the Miss America Talent Scholarship—a $2,500 scholarship prize—for her classical violin performance.

Even on a stage full of gorgeous beauties, Grace stands out. The stunning blonde beauty stands at 5 foot 11! Being so tall hasn’t always been easy — Grace indicated that the competition helped her learn confidence and posture. The competition helped me become comfortable in my own skin, she said, according to The Northwestern.
According to The Northwestern, our new Miss America noticed a dearth of women in STEM careers as soon as she started working in nuclear engineering. I hope that I can continue to pave the way for women in the future and help make an equal percentage of women and men in the field.
Her involvement with the Miss America Organization would help her become a representative of their cause. If I didn’t join, I’d probably be just another engineer talking to other engineers. I am very excited to spread the word and be a representative between the nuclear industry and the general public.
When asked by the finalists, Grace was careful to point it out, but she knows how to present them in case they win the crown. As Miss America, I am representing this organization, she said before her win. If they ask questions, I can preface by saying that this is my personal perspective as Grace Stankey and I can go on – especially when it comes to nuclear power and many other hot, political topics.
