Captain America: New World Order made quite an impression on D23 last weekend. Although there was no footage to show, as filming has yet to begin, Marvel Studios announced that Tim Blake would return as the main villain of the Nelson flick, The Leader. But, as exciting as the news was, someone on stage seemed to be missing: Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes.
Given how close both Bucky and Sam became during the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, it seemed odd that the two didn’t get back together for Anthony Mackie’s first solo Captain America film
Instead of standing by Sam’s side, it looks like he’ll be busy leading a team of misfits alongside Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova in the Thunderbolts — which is set to release just two months after the New World Order. So, given that, the big question is: Will Bucky be too busy to hang out with Sam? or vice versa? Well, the actor has his own thoughts.
Sebastian Stan was asked if his character, Bucky Barnes, would appear in Captain America: New World Order.
While the actor didn’t have a serious answer to the subject, he joked that he needed some time off from Anthony.

Who’s in Captain America New World Order?
Unsurprisingly, Anthony Mackie will return as Sam Wilson aka Captain America in the new film,
It was confirmed at the D23 Expo that he would be joined by two familiar faces from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: Danny Ramirez with Joaquín Torres (potentially the new Falcon?).
The film will also see the return of Tim Blake Nelson as Dr. Samuel Stern. The ending of The Incredible Hulk saw him transform into The Leader, and it looks like he’ll be a formidable foe to Cap.
Ona told ComicBook.com, “A leader is a man who works with intelligence, and so it’s great to have an adversary who’s working with this incredible intelligence, in fact, you know, Sam has to do with this. Let’s put through the wrinkle in the story.”
When will Captain America New World Order be released?
Marvel has confirmed that Captain America: New World Order will be released in theaters on May 3, 2024, making it Phase 5’s final outing.
In September 2022, Ona told ComicBook.com that filming on the new film was due to begin in the spring of 2023. Assuming that goes according to plan, the film should release in May 2024.
What will Captain America New World Order be about?
Even though we’ve got an official title and release date, no information has been released regarding the plot of Captain America: New World Order.
Looking at the crossover cast, it looks like it will definitely pick up from the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which left some plot threads hanging around.
There’s Sharon Carter’s villainous turn, Zemo still alive in prison, and of course Falcon-Now-Cap’s internal reckoning of what it means, as a black man, to wear a suit with stars and stripes.
Who will be the final villain, which city will be destroyed, and whether any multidimensional madness comes into play are all questions we can’t yet answer. But we are sure that more information will come out in the coming time.
In November 2021, Marvel producer Nate Moore teased a “charming” arc for Cap in the new film. “I think he’s not Steve Rogers and I think that’s a good thing. For me, it’s the new Cap Rocky,” he explained.
“He’s a guy with wings and a shield, but he’s a boy. So, we’re going to put him through the wringer and earn him, and see what happens when he’s overweight, outcast, out of everything.” what happens.”
Ona also teased to ComicBook.com that the new film will be about Sam Wilson on How to Be a Leader.
“In this story, a big part of his journey is how do you define that leadership? That’s something he hasn’t had to deal with yet. As the Falcons, he was always there to support the rest of the team. , but now he is the person leading the team,
