Joe Manganiello, the actor who moonlights as the official ambassador for Dungeons & Dragons, will direct a documentary about the popular tabletop fantasy game with Kyle Newman.

According to Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons 5ED is the most successful version of D&D to date, due to the emergence of real drama streams like Critical Role, Dimension 20, and Dicebreaker’s own Dungeonbreaker. This has allowed countless new players to join the roleplaying game.

After a brief title reveal trailer was released in April, fans have been eagerly awaiting a proper trailer. On July 21 their wishes were granted and the first full trailer for Dungeons & Dragons was released. The trailer does a great job of showing the characters and the world in the film.

Set on Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love, the trailer showcases both the action and comedy that the film promises to bring. And yes, an owl turned up, and we’re pretty sure we even saw a copycat posing in the chest.

With the trailer approaching the film’s release, it was a great first look, with plenty to get excited about for both casual audiences and Dungeons & Dragons diehards alike.

The release was later moved to November 19, 2021, to accommodate the release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, before moving the release date to May 27, 2022. , due to COVID-19.
