We practically saw Jack Black as Santa Claus in these new photos as the actor strolled along with the Christmas icon in Los Angeles on Thursday, Dec. 22. The holiday star is currently sporting a gray bushy beard like St. Nicholas himself, and we can’t help but wonder if this is it for this holiday season.

Jack completed his look with a green padded Columbia coat, colorful shorts, big green headphones, and comfortable running shoes. Perhaps he’s getting ready to play Kris Kringle in an upcoming Christmas movie? One can only hope, right? He really does look like Santa!

Even though Jack may not be gearing up for a new holiday movie, fans still have 2006’s The Holiday to enjoy each year. In the Christmas classic, Jack played Miles Dumont, a Hollywood songwriter who falls in love with Kate Winslet’s English Iris when she does business with an American film producer, played by Cameron Diaz.

The film is so good that fans went wild when it was revealed earlier this month that a sequel was on the way. That Jack, Kate, Cameron, and Jude Law, who also star in the film, were up for an upcoming sequel, but I read a little about it, but it’s the first film, Kate told PEOPLE.
