Jojo Siwa knew that the moment she started dating, she was not into men. The 19-year-old superstar revealed how she “knew” that men weren’t her “thing” after going on a date with a friend who wanted to sleep with her after their first date.
The former Nickelodeon genius joked about his “gay awakening” in a now-viral video that was shared on social media on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. In the clip, where she sported cute twin buns and a Halloween-chic Minnie Mouse T-shirt with baggy red sweats, JoJo remembered how she was “grossed out” by the boy’s progress while telling the story in the song.

“A guy was on my first date and he wanted to have sex with me and I didn’t, never wanted to, thought about it. Known immediately, men are not my thing,” shared JoJo.
Though she didn’t mention who the “man” might be, JoJo fans think she may be talking about YouTuber Matty B, 19. The pair reportedly dated around 2015.
She also revealed how a few other celebs helped her realize that she was gay. Recalling when Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” was just 12 years old, she said, “I really, really liked it and I listened to it all the time.” The Dance Moms alum said of the 2015 provocative single, “I didn’t know what that meant, but now that I’m a lot older I understand and I know what that means.”
Years later she became a little obsessed with performing lip sync battles inspired by Jenna Dewan’s Magic Mike. “[I] saw that pretty much every day,” she confessed.
Jo Jo came out as a member of the LGBTQ community in 2021. At the time he revealed that he was dating Kylie Prev, but the pair split in November 2021. The star began her new relationship with YouTuber Avery Cyrus last month, calling herself “the happiest girl ever.”
